The Dead Sea is thought to be around 15 million years old is one of the saltiest bodies of water in the world, nearly 10 times saltier than the ocean. Famous for its hyper salinity, people from all over the world visit the lake for its believed therapeutic benefits. The extreme salinity of the lake makes a very harsh environment for plants and animals, which means not very much can survive there, hence the name – The Dead Sea.
This naturally occurring salt is supremely rich in minerals, particularly Magnesium, Potassium, Sodium and Calcium. It can be used as a natural bath salt, for a relaxing and mineral rich bath.
Dead Sea Salts can be used in your homemade beauty formulations. It is ideal for use as an exfoliator for the body, helping to remove dead skin cells and dry skin.
